GF_Project

GF_Project is the set of software tools needed to build a Gefran Automation solution. GF_Project lets you configure, program, and diagnose an automation project.Configuring an automation project requires the use of a series of specific software components. In general, an automation project calls for the following components:

• Configuration of Hardware devices
• Configuration of Machine/System control program
• Configuration of operator interface

To reduce development time and to ensure project reusability, all of the software components in an Automation project must be coordinated and synchronized with one another as much as possible.In addition, an automation project can consist of simple sequential control of a small automatic machine, sequential control coupled with an operator interface, up to complete control of a production plant.To satisfy all of these needs, GF_Project calls for the use of specific configuration tools that are coordinated and synchronized with one another.GF_Project contains the following basic components for configuration of a Gefran automation project:

• GF_Net – Configuration tool for HW devices and project architecture
• GF_ProjectVX_code – Configuration tool for Machine/System sequence control
• GF_View – Configuration tool for operator interface

These three tools, combined with other software components, form Gefran’s GF_Project Automation solution.
