Updating application software
GF_Project contains a section that simplifies the operations needed to completely or partially update the application programme loaded on the target. This section is accessible through the button ‘Deployment’ on the TopBar.
The single steps needed to update the application program are shown in the ‘Warnings’ window.There are 3 functionality groups:Compile: allows to select by check box the compilation (view pages are just checked in syntax)Deploy: compiles and transfers the selected object to the targetGeneralPC Executor: allows to execute the pages locally on PC.Reboot target: allows to reboot the target (necessary operation, after critical deploys, like hardware or users)Deploy all: allows to execute all the operation listed inside the “Deploy” group (even if not selected).Quick: executes a deploy all without recompiling the PLC and without checking view project. Note: a previous compiled PLC program will be transferred.Output messages are listed inside the “log” space, divided by category (pages, PLC, Hardware).The selected operation will be executed by hitting the “Execute” button, on the current selected application as highlighted by the top bar warning
