Recovery key generation
The third section inside the deploy window allows to generate a USB key able to recover a broken target which is not able to start anymore.With this key it’s also possible to execute the following operations:Partition and format the target internal flash disk and make it bootableUpgrade the BOOTROM to the current versionCopy the firmware with minimal required files, able to start the “Waiting for application” screenCopy to the target the current application, opened with GF_ProjectVXAll listed operations will be executed by the USB key automatically, in only one step, without the need of any external keyboard connected to the target.To generate the recovery key, it’s firstly necessary to create a bootable USB key.Follow instructions inside folder:\diskimages\Bootkey\readme.txtOnce created the bootable USB key, open the Deploy window on section “USB bootable key”:
Choose the key type and destination path, then click over “Execute”.Then insert the key inside a powered off target then power it on.The procedure will destroy all data inside the target. For this reason it will ask to touch the screen in order to confirm to go ahead with cleaning action and formatting. Without touching the screen, after 10 seconds, it will abort the operation.
