Select string of text

Components that require the selection of a string (FixedText or ToggleButton) access a dedicated selection window that lists all of the strings on the Messages page. You can shift among the defined languages by means of the dedicated combobox. A number of facilities are provided.

• With filter “Hide empty” it’s possible to hide empty strings while with filter “Only empty” it’s possible to choose between all empty spaces previously left.
• When writing in the String field, a filter is run on the list of existing strings to show only those that match the written string.

• If you want to see the complete list of strings, you can reset the filter by clicking the “Clear search” button. The filter will reactivate the next time you write in the String field.

• It’s even possible to directly select a string by the ID, inserting directly the number inside the top right box.

After the string is written or chosen, you have 3 options:

• Accept the string and add it to the string database by clicking OK or by pressing the Enter key on the keyboard. You will always see a window asking you to confirm your choice.
• Cancel your choice and return to the previous situation by clicking Cancel
• Do not enter any string in the database and delete the widget from any previous choice by clicking Clean.
• With a single click over a string it’s possible to edit it.
