Protecting a WidgetBox
WBs can be protected with a password to prevent them from being edited.Protected WBs can be used normally on the pages and opened in read/only mode, without enabling access the edit function or viewing of any codes present (script or other). To protect a WB, simply select “lock” from the context menu, which appears by right clicking the mouse over the name of WB in the general list. The content is protected by a checksum calculated on the basis of the password entered. Any attempts to change the WB in the source file (for example: through the file system) will result in error and will make the WB unusable.By right clicking the mouse on the name of a protected WB in the list and selecting “edit”, the WB can be temporarily unlocked (without removing the protection) in order for changes to be made. The WB can also be opened directly by double clicking on its name. In this case GF_Project proposes three different choices: read/only, edit and cancel (to cancel opening).Protected WB are exported and imported as such. Protected libraries can also be created simply by exporting the project, taking care to protect desired WB in advance. To completely unlock a protected WB, select “unlock” from the context menu, which appears by right clicking the mouse over the name of WB in the general list.
