TCP/IP protocol
The TCP/IP protocol lets you set up a stable connection for data exchange between machines linked via an Ethernet connection.TCP/IP refers not just to the TCP transmission protocol and the IP network, but to a family of protocols including UDP, ICMP, ARP and others, but excluding email, telnet, and FTP applications. The TCP/IP protocol structure can be described in levels, similar to ISO/OSI but with only four levels (five if you include the physical level), instead of seven.
