Network access
The system automatically activates the following protocols:TelnetFTP (standard or passive mode)Access is allowed by user / password. The default authentication is as follows:User: telnetPassword: gefransevenThrough hardware options it is possible to change the user and password:
Insert a string of your choice in the “Custom login user name” heading (it must be different from “telnet”!).The encrypted password and the key (salt) must be generated using the “vxencrypt” program, present in the “tools” subfolder of GF_ProjectVX.Open a command prompt and launch vxencrypt, following the instructions on the screen. Example:
Copy the password (in the example it is: U8+3miSeC3OcBF2Pnjcj8NZrUsObyRjdipdPr+73UoQ=) and paste it in the “Custom login password (encrypted)” field. Then copy the key (salt), which in the example is: RxkAAOsGAAA= and paste it into the head “Custom login encryption key (salt)”.From this moment on, when the system starts regularly, the new password and the new user will always be used!In order to recover any information losses regarding the new password and the new user, it is expected that the default user “telnet / gefranseven” will be active again when gsetup is running. Access to gsetup is also password protected, which can be changed from the gsetup menu.Warning: losing the system password and the gsetup password will no longer be possible to access the system! In this case it is possible to reset the configuration by forcing a complete installation from a USB key (see the paragraph “Updating target disk” in the “GF_Project IDE” chapter).
