Hot and full download

A hot and full download is an upgrade of the target without stopping the program already present on the target; i.e.: the target goes from running the previous program to running the upgraded program without any pause. It is important to emphasise that there is no restart of the program: running continues, progressing directly from the old code to the new one.A full download is an upgrade of the target which takes place by stopping the running of the program already present on the target; i.e.: the previous program on the target is stopped (with consequent reset of the output to the default value or the specifically configured value). Then the upgraded program is downloaded and running is restarted automatically with the new program. This operation usually takes a few seconds and implicates a restart with the new code. Non-retentive variables are updated and the INIT task is recalled.
