Introduction

The EtherCAT Diagnostics tool diagnoses problems in the management of EtherCAT peripherals.The tool has a graphic interface in Visual implemented by means of the Gefran component PanelEcatStatus.The component is available in Visual components in the Diagnostics group (see GF_View chapter.)The component can:

• Operate on-board the machine:
• Together with the customer’s application, provided the application has inserted it in its HMI program.
• As an alternative to the customer’s application.
• Operate remotely on a personal computer where Project has been installed.
