Updating Firmware

Inside GF_Project is available a function that allows to know the number of firmware version present on the target. This can be executed through the button “Get Remote Version” presents on Tab Hardware-Configuration.If an update of set target’s firmware will be necessary, that functionality is available through the button “TransferFirmware” on the Harware Tab-Configuration. This operation lets you transfer to the selected target all information regarding the firmware version linked to the distribution of GF_Project.To run this operation, you have to: Configure the target to be updated on the Hardware (GF_Net) module Select the device on the GF_Project Hardware panel With an Ethernet cable, connect the target to be updated to the development PC Press the “Update firmware on target” button. Before running the firmware update procedure, GF_project will check that the selected target is compatible with the target connected to the development PC. If the check is positive, GF_Project updates the firmware.At the end of the firmware update procedure, if no errors are detected, you have to re-launch the target to make the new functions available.
