FBD (Function Block Diagram) is a graphics language based on the use of Function Blocks and Functions that are interconnected to create the control logic. This language is typically used to programme processes such as temperature controllers in heat treatment ovens. Programming with graphic blocks and their connection with lines facilitate development of process control and its functional testing.
