SSL Certificate


In this article:

– “SSL Certificate” service description;

– description of operations to enable and disable the “SSL Certificate” service;

Applicability:

– BSP ver. 1.0.0 or higher


Description: the “SSL Certificate” service can be accessed from the “Service Settings” section.

Enabling the “SSL Certificate” service enables the G-Mation P6 to manage the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security certificate to be used in communication.

In the “Service Settings” section, the service configuration can be accessed.

Clicking the “Configure” button provides access to the service configuration interface.

The following is the configuration interface of the “SSL Certificate” service:

The menu shows the data characterizing the current certificate:

“Certificate name”: name of the current certificate;

“Created date”: creation date of the current certificate;

“Expired date”: expiration date validity of the current certificate;

Click the “Upload New Certificate” button to update the certificate with a new version;

by clicking “Download Current Certificate” you can download the current version of the certificate;

by clicking “Restore Default Certificate” the system reloads the certificate installed when the G-Mation P6 was produced;

at any time you can click the “Cancel” button and remove the service status configuration popup display.

The following is a detail of the “Upload New Certificate” procedure:

Updating the SSL certificate is completed by uploading the “.crt” file and the “.key” file that characterizes the certificate; uploading can be done by “drag & drop” dragging the file to the dedicated area or by navigating the system resources by clicking the “Upload a SSL Certifcate File .crt” and “Upload a SSL Certificate File .key” buttons.
